Mayfair Power Systems, Inc. was founded in February of 1961 by partners Paul Eberst and C. Gourley Gahn. The business was incorporated as Mayfair Marine Service and located on Woodcleft canal in Freeport NY.
Mayfair Power Systems is now currently servicing over twenty-five hundred commercial generator sets and residential generator sets and carry a full line of generator parts. We celebrated our 60th Anniversary in February of 2021. Our sales department

Mayfair Power Systems is approaching 60 years in business. We have sold, installed and maintained thousands of residential and commercial generators. All of our technicians are factory trained!
There is no one in the metropolitan area with more experience.
Our systems are fully automatic. If there is a power outage they will start to run for the duration of the outage and shut down at the proper time. The units automatically exercise themselves once a week to stay ready at all times.

I’m sure, like most businesses that you get complaints & unhappy customers. So I thought I would send you a note to tell you how satisfied I am with the service you did for me! I dealt with MAYFAIR for ages, starting in the 1970’s when I was captaining boats. I didn’t realize that you did home equipment until I finally called you. You sent your tech Ryan; he immediately knew the problem was a common one and rerouted the fuel regulator vents to outside the housing; problem solved. He also checked software and installed a factory update for the charging voltage onto the controller. It’s been months now, and every exercise is perfect. I thank you for your good work and have recommended you to a number of my friends with whole-house gensets.
Chris was efficient, courteous, professional, and explained every step of what he was doing to get the generator up and running. He diagnosed a dead battery and replaced it, while straightening out a couple of other issues that needed attention, as well as reprogramming the generator to complete the exercise program every week. It was a pleasure having him to my home to fix my generator problem. I realize a lot of service calls are made by your company to a variety of customers. I feel strongly that when service is exceptional, it should be recognized. Just a quick note to tell you how pleased I am with your technician Chris. He was very polite, knowledgeable and clean. He gave me a good tutorial on my generator upon hook up. He noticed the controller needed to be changed and he was here the next day and changed it. Give hime a raise!! Hehe.

I’m writing to let you know what a great employee you have in Ryan. He came for my first maintenance on my Generac generator that was installed after Sandy last July. I knew there were many things I needed to know after reading the instruction manual and had many questions regarding the operation of my generator. I was afraid of it. Today, for the first time, I feel capable. Ryan had the patience to teach me, he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, had a great attitude as well as clean in the work area. We just wanted to write to tell you how incredible it was to have such a reliable generator during Hurricane Sandy! Power was not restored to our neighborhood for about 10 days, but we had heat, hot water, and electricity throughout thanks to your/our generator. We were one of the only houses in our community to have power throughout the storm. Even friends of ours who have generators had trouble with theirs-power cutting out unexpectedly, etc., but ours worked smoothly from beginning to end. So, thank you for providing the generator in the first place and for maintaining it as well as you do since that time. It has been a lifesaver more than once!
